DEAN PROJECT Celebrating 17 years of expertise in contemporary art.
Founded by Mark Dean in September 2007, DEAN PROJECT began as a 3,000 sqft gallery space adjacent to MoMA PS1 in Long Island City, NY. After three successful years, the gallery moved to Manhattan in 2010, establishing a new presence at 511 West 25th Street. In 2013, the gallery relocated to Miami Beach, Florida, with prominent spaces on Lincoln Road and Washington Avenue.
Today, DEAN PROJECT operates as a private dealer, focusing on three primary home cities: Miami Beach, Santa Fe, and Havana.
The gallery continues its ongoing collaboration in Kuwait City with the historical Sultan Gallery in Kuwait City, Kuwait, extending its global reach.
With nearly two decades of experience in the contemporary art market, DEAN PROJECT provides expert advice on acquisitions of both primary and secondary artwork. The gallery has participated in over 100 art fairs worldwide, major events including ZONA-MACO (Mexico City), FIA Caracas Venezuela, TIAF Toronto, PINTA New York, Art on Paper, The Dallas Art Fair, Art Miami and PULSE in Miami, Los Angeles, and Basel. The gallery’s program has featured 50 public exhibitions, including solo shows, group exhibitions, and curated summer invitationals.
Selected Press Coverage – the gallery’s influence has been recognized in The New Yorker, The New York Times, TIME, Art in America, Harpers, The Economist, The Atlantic, Vogue Arabia, Wall Street Journal, Miami Herald, ARTFORUM, Apollo as well as in prominent international outlets including Al-Watan Daily (Kuwait), Gulf News (UAE), Ad-Dustour (Jordan) and Al-Watan (Qatar)
