Ori G. Carino was born in a Houston Street loft in downtown Manhattan, NYC (1982). He was raised within the Lower East Side art-movement of the 80’s, going on to attend programs at Parson’s and Cooper Union. He graduated in 2005 from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts (SMFA) in Boston, in the studio program for painting and installation. After graduating he relocated to New York City from where he currently works and lives. He has exhibited in group shows in NYC and Boston, and has painted many public murals in downtown Manhattan.
Carino is the recipient of the prestigious New York City studio program grants-award and has made several commissioned pieces in New York City. His paintings are included in the historic book, “The King of Dharma,” a first-time publication of an important set of Tibetan paintings from the 18th century. |
